FIRST ANNUAL KAWAGAMA RIB FEST AND CORN ROAST
Over 100 attended our first annual rib fest and corn roast.
While we only had two cooks, the competition was fierce. Everyone enjoyed the ribs and corn on the cob. After we went through 12 racks of ribs in just two hours, the votes were counted and the judges made their decision.
Allan McGlade of Long Island was chosen the "Top Chef" and the "Cottagers' Choice"

Dawn and Allan celebrate their competition.

Thanks to the cooks and to everyone who attended. We will host this event again in 2011 and we will be looking for other cooks on Kawagama to give Allan and Dawn some competition.
Storage Season is looming!
Yes, unfortunately it is that time of year again when we start to think about fall and putting away the boat. We already have a number of boats in for storage and more expected soon.
You can check out the Mountain Trout House winter storage options on our RATES page or just give the marina a call. We will be happy to answer any of your questions.

KLCA REGATTA
Moorelands Camp
Held on the Long Weekend, this was one of the best attended regattas in many years. Numerous heats had to be held in many events due to the large turnout. The organization was great, the food sold out! Raffle ticket sales were strong and everyone had a good time. Thanks to all of the organizers and the volunteers.
KAWAGAMA FIREWORKS
Another spectacular night of fireworks!
Thanks to the Dorset Fire department for their help and organization. Thanks to all of the summer staff from the marinas who helped collect donations. Thanks to all of the cottagers who attended and donated. Please remember that this show is put on with donations. If you can, please drop a donation off at either marina.

KAWAGAMA OPEN
41 Golfers enjoyed a great day at North Granite Ridge. The conditions were perfect even if the scores were not. Over 68 people enjoyed the post game Bar B Que hosted by the Wiebes.
Thanks to everyone who attended and supported this event. We were able to raise enough funds that a donation of $270.00 will be made to the Dorset Fire Department.
The Chip Truck will be open Friday evenings until 8:00PM.
Yes, now you can stop in and get a "Bigger Fries" for the trip to the cottage. Or how about a great way to fill the gap after a long trip from the city? We will try this out for a few weekends to see what the response is.
During the weekend, the chip truck is open from 12:00 noon to 4:30PM, Saturday and Sunday. Come and enjoy.
New products at Mountain Trout House Marina.

We are very pleased to be the newest dealer for Perfect Pass. The world leader in speed control for your boat. Yes, most wakeboard and ski boats have speed control. This allows the operator to deliver the perfect pull for the skier or rider. Just set the speed you want and Perfect Pass does the rest. Do you have a ski boat without speed control? No problem. Perfect Pass can be installed in your boat and no holes are required to be drilled into your hull. StarGazer Wake and StarGazer 3 Event use GPS technology to give you accurate speed control and a Perfect Pass every time.
Don't have a Ski or Wakeboard boat but would like to have better control of your speed while towing the kids? Again, Perfect Pass has the answer for Inboard Outboards. StarGazer Wake Edition is the perfect answer for Mercruiser and Volvo. Check out this link to the Perfect Pass Web site.

Mountain Trout House now carries the Acme Propeller line. These are some of the best propellers made for inboard boats. Whether yours is a 1990 Supra or a 2010 Mastercraft we have the propeller for your boat. Ski boats use different propellers than Wakeboard boats. Some props turn clockwise, others turn counter clockwise. Do you have an older ski boat with a three blade prop? Why not try out an Acme 4 blade? You will be surprised and pleased with the improved performance and hole shot.

Click on the props to go to the Acme Propeller site for all of the details.
Need a new prop or need yours repaired? Need an extra so you don't have any down time?
